HEDA SHELVES Radio Shuttle Racking is a 2-way semi-automatic racking solution, engineered for high-density pallet storage in warehouses and distribution centers. As a semi-automatic racking system, it uses a remote-controlled electric shuttle that moves pallets within the storage lane, allowing forklifts to stay at the lane entrance instead of driving deep into the rack structure.
As a 2-way system, the shuttle travels forward and backward along a single storage lane, making it a cost-effective entry point into shuttle automation - well suited for operations that need high storage density without the complexity of a fully automated 3D/4-way system.

How It Works
- A forklift places the pallet at the entrance of the storage lane, resting it on the rack's guide rails.
- The operator deploys the Radio Shuttle onto the rail using a forklift, then controls it via a handheld remote.
- The shuttle slightly lifts the pallet and transports it along the lane (2-way: in and out of a single channel) to the designated storage position.
- To retrieve a pallet, the process reverses - the shuttle brings the pallet back to the lane entrance for forklift pickup.
- The forklift never enters the storage lane, which reduces rack damage risk and speeds up loading/unloading cycles.
